i 1 top EPHRATA REVIEW OBITUARIES WEDNESDAY, JULY. 27, 1994 A 13 Obituaries Katie S. Martin Katie S. Martin, 97, of 18 Hahnstown Road, Ephrata died July 24 at the home of her son in Denver. She was the wife of Raymond A.

Martin, who died in 1979. Born in May City, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Daniel M. and Susanna Sensenig Stauffer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pike (Stauffer) Mennonite Church in Earl Township. Survivors include four sons, Benjamin Diamond Station; Raymond Selinsgrove; Daniel Denver; and Harvey Ephrata R2; a daughter, Sadie wife of Daniel M.

Wanner, Ephrata; 42 grandchil- dren; three stepgrandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Daniel M. Wanner residence, 18 Hahnstown Ephrata, on Friday, July 29 at 8 a.m. with further services at 9 a.m. at the Pike Stuffer Mennonite Church, Earl Township.

Interment is in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, July 28, in the afternoon and evening at the Daniel M. Wanner residence. The Stradling Funeral Home, Inc. of Akron is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Loose, Ephrata resident Marie Brackbill Loose, 92, of Conestoga View, formerly of 1838 West Main Street, Ephrata, died July 24 at Conestoga View after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John W. Loose. Born in Clay Township, where she lived all her life, she was the daughter of the late Jacob: and Lizzie E. Brackbill Kreider.

A homemaker, she previously worked as a sewing machine operator at the former W.W. Moyer Co. of Ephrata. She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Ephrata. Free eyeglasses Over the next three months, hundreds of Lancaster's, needy citizens will receive free eye screenings and free eyeglasses thanks to MORRSIGHT, a special program made possible by Hershey Foods Corporation and 1 Morrison International, Inc.

Surviving are a son, John K. (Junior), of Welsh Mountain Samaritan Home, New Holland; a sister, Elizabeth B. Huber, Pleasant View Home, Manheim; and a brother Jacob B. Kreider, Ephrata. The funeral was held from The Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W.

Main Ephrata, July 27 at 10:30 a.m. with The Rev. Richard F. Michael officiating. Interment was in Hammer Creek Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.

Those who desire may make memorial contributions to the Thanksgiving and Memorial Fund of the Evangelical I Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, 167 E. Main Ephrata, PA 17522. are offered MORR-SIGHT will begin serving Lancaster County Citizens at the Salvation Army on July 5 from 9 a.m. onwards. Weaver, 86, of 232 Cats Back Road, Ephrata, formerly of Fivepointville, died July 19 at 12:10 p.m. in Ephrata Community Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of Clarence H. Weaver, who died in 1991. Born in East Earl Township, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Ida Ludwig Keiffer, A homemaker, she was a member of Weaverlane Mennonite Church.

Surviving are five sons, Lester Leola; Clarence Mohnton; Raymond R. and Leonard both of Reinholds; and Marvin New Holland; two daughters, A. Fay, wife of Richard Fox, Clay, and I. May, wife of Raymond Martin, East Earl; 25 grandchildren; and 53 great-grandchildren. The funeral was held from the Weaverland Mennonite Church July 22 at 10 a.m.

with Bishop C. Kenneth Martin, Bishop L. Keith Weaver, Rev. Leon R. Hurst and Bishop Aaron Hollinger officiating.

Interment was in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery. The Eckenroth Home for Funerals, Terre Hill, had charge of arrangements. Jay R. Wilson, photographer Jay Roberts Wilson, 90, formerly of the Franklin Apartments, Ephrata, died at Brethren Village, Neffsville, July 25 after a four-month illness. A graduate of Columbia sity, she worked during the 1930s for the U.S.

government as a photographer in South America. She was a photographer for a Chicago portrait company and, later, worked as a credit supervisor for the Patricia Stevens Career Schools in the northeast U.S. A concert pianist since childhood, she was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and worked as an actress in television commercials. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Walter W. And Rosetta Bernstein Stremmel.

Formerly of Chicago, she lived in Lancaster County for the past 15 years. She is survived by a long-time friend and associate, Veronica L. Craig, Ephrata. The funeral will be held from The Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main Ephrata, on Thursday, July 28, at 10 a.m.

with Rev. Levi J. Ziegler officiating. Interment is private. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning for one hour prior to the service.
